I find myself frequently caught up meditating on very specific words. The word I kept getting caught up on when I was writing this album is the word Jaded. According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, Jaded means feeling or showing a lack of interest and excitement caused by having done or experienced too much of something. For me, this is how I felt about life in general for an entire year of my life. For an entire year of my life I couldn’t find joy in even the simplest things and to an extent, I couldn’t even enjoy the things I was passionate about. I was always told that the grass is greener where you water it, but I felt like I was pouring water on dirt. During this time, I thought it would never end, I thought that I wasted the best years of my life, and I was only 20. The lesson I learned from this is sometimes life throws you in a bad situation, but with the right mindset, it won’t be that way forever.
I hope this album resonates with you like it does with me. Whether it’s your love life that’s in shambles, or if it’s from bad situations life puts you in. Always remember God loves you where you’re at and tomorrow is a new day.

Big Thanks to:
The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Marty & Keely Keith, Rebecca Murphy, Zeb Barron, Mike Tripp, Ben Darling, Jordan Threadgill, Matt “Cookie” Cook, Caleb “Lieu Ryan” James, Dr. Check, and Sterling Dorrell for inspiring me to play music daily. Tim Phillippe for letting me add New Day to this album, which has been the biggest blessing for the album and for performing live. The rest of the Phillippe Family: Brett, Brad, Victoria, and Randy for being a second family to me. Also a big thanks to Mom & Dad, Micah “Big Guy” Chrisman, Jordan Weichelt, Tyler Busick, Andrew Sexton, Jayce Dunn, Dustin & Alanna Altic, Vickie Pantle, Curtis “Porcupine” Mitchell, Austin “Gingerballs” Kirby, Kurt Downing, Alex & Kate Jackson, Brad Smith, Josh Casey, and Justin “Napoleon” Landis for being the inspiration to be a better person and to live out Luke 9:23 daily. Without any of you I wouldn’t be the man I grew up to be, or be alive in general. No amount of songs I will ever write, or anything I do will ever make up what you have done for my life. You’re the light in my ever dimming world.
